Fly: Wayne Luallen, Photographs: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Daiichi 1110, #14-22
Thread: Fly Master 6/0, Gudebrod 8/0 or 10/0, color to match abdomen
Tails: Natural very hard material (i.e., bull elk neck, Microfibbetts, Ron McLean's Supertail)
Rib: Optional, but when called for, contrasting color of thread twisted to enhance segmentation
Abdomen: Thread, color to match natural
Thorax: Dubbing, color to match natural
Loopwing: 4-5 winds of hackle, color to match natural, gathered with tying thread toward an ultimate shape of fanned wings that lay to either side at about a 120 degree angle to one another

Notes: This fly was designed by Eric Otzinger. He fishes it as an emerging dun, a spinner, or a knock-down dun. With a trailing shuck of Z-lon I suspect it would be a good emerger pattern as well.
