I started fishing at about 6 years old and fly tying at 11 years old. I
live on the banks of the river Ayr in South West Scotland where I have
been able to observe trout and grayling feeding as well as develop and test
my new patterns on them. My 3D Caddis and 3D Emerger are the result of
this and are my top catching flies. 3D stands for Deer, Duck and
Dubbing. Fortunately I am also able to use my patterns from the hill
lochs of Assynt in the Highlands to chalkstream fishing in the east
midlands.
