LE Ephemerella Nymph

Fly: Leif Ehnström, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Wet fly 12 - 14
Thread: Brown
Tail: Lemon woodduck fibers
Rib: Grey thread
Abdomen: Dark brown dubbing
Wingcase: Brown biot
Thorax: Dark brown dubbing
Legs: Grey partridge
Note: It is a standard brown nymph with long tail (summer duck). The difference from other nymphs is that I make the wing case by using turkey biots. I use one short biot on top, and over and beside it a longer one on each side of the thorax. I got the idea from Oliver Edwards´ book Masterclass.
