Generic Minnow

Fly: Jerry Caruso, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Owner 5105 or Gamakatsu C145 Size 2-8
Thread: Black
Body: PolaFibre stacked, tied in behind the eye. Gray over Chartreuse over White
Flash: Sparkleflash
Eyes: 3-D Epoxy
Head: Area from eye to just past hook bend is coated with Flex-Loc(you can also use epoxy)

Note: This is a general pattern for narrow body minnows. When I tie it these days, it is pretty much a two colored fly and I use either White 10/0 or 12/0 thread or clear mono thread. Chartreuse over White, Light Blue over White, Light Green over White, or Olive over White. I prefer Sparkleflash with Pink undertones. For Saltwater, Light Green over White with Silver Comes Alive makes a mean Silversides pattern.
