Note: Another lure imitation. Lip is formed the same way as on the Rapala imitation. This is tied to imitate the wide body shad type lures. Tie in your tail. Tie in the rattle on the bottom of the shank. You need to leave enough room to push the hook eye through the tubing. Tie in the white foam. I will tie it in on the top and sides. Add your colors to the foam. Slide the tubing over the hook. Push the hook eye through the front, above the lip. Tie down in back with clear mono. Once the body is in place, I will put some super glue along the bottom of the tubing, and squeeze together to form a keel. Then I will coat the whole body with clear quick drying nail polish. When dry I add another coat of color then the eyes. Final light coat of epoxy. You need an 8 wgt or heavier to toss this one. I have caught some bass and some snapper blues on similar flies. This pattern can also be tied without the lip. Generic Minnow
