Emu Dun

Fly: Jerry Caruso, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Eagle Claw 214, size 10-12
Thread: Black, 6/0
Tail: Moose Hair(mane)
Body: Green Chartreuse Silicone Skirt Material(Sili Legs)
Body: Emu Feather
Wing: Emu Feather

Note: A continuation of what to do with a bag of Emu feathers. Another one feather, one fly pattern. Tail is Moose, Body is an Emu feather tied in by the tip and wrapped forward, then trimmed, leaving a "wing" similar to a Comparadun. It works when the early season dark mayflies are on the water.
