I was born and raised in Colorado, started fishing with
my dad at age 5. Picked up my first fly rod when I was 22 and never
looked back since. Started tying flys after a tour in the army in
Vietnam, then Germany. Taught fly tying, fly fishing and casting and
guided at "The Colorado Angler" for over 20 years. Have tied at ISE
shows, TU clinics, and various shops through out Colorado. I believe a
fly should be easy to tie, very durable, and of course catch fish so
through my fishing career I have modified a lot of patterns to fit my
needs. I will fish for anything that swims but my true love is fishing
lakes. I live in Colorado Springs, Co. and am only 30 minutes to an hour
away from some of the finest flyfishing in the country.
