Bubble Nymph

Fly: Harald Weidler, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Dohiku 302 # 12
Bead: Tungsten bead 2,3 - 3mm in any color you like. String the bead on a thin nail and bend nail right behind the bead (or use split beads and bend the nail before you adjust the bead, if cannot find such fine nails you can also use needles and cut them with a plier)
Thread: UNI 6/0 orange or red
Tail: A few fibers of white or orange spectra dubbing
Underbody: Spectra dubbing in orange or yellow
Overbody: Polar fibres white spun in a loop
Hackle: 3 turns of CDC in bright colors

Note: I used this nymph in autumn and winter last year the first time and it brought a lot of good size trout and grayling. It is an attractor pattern and woks best when you fish it deep. Due to the polar fibre the fly becomes translucent under water and effects a different look that fish really like. I guess it will work also as a sedge pupa if you tie the underbody in green for summertime. The way of fixing the bead enables you to let it bump along the bottom where the big fish are.
