Biot Dun

Fly: Harald Weidler, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Tiemco 100 #14-18
Thread: UNI 6/0 olive
Tail: CDC feather tip
Abdomen: Biot olive fixed with Loctite
Wing: 3 CDC feathers natural in split wing technique
Thorax: Squirrel dubbing, olive
Note: Whenever olive duns are around and fish are rising this fly is a winner. Starting in sizes #14 in spring time to # 18 in autumn. When you use a light biot for body and pale yellow CDC for wings you can imitate the Baetis fuscatus, which is effective for grayling.
