Mono Spoon Fly

Hook: Mustad 34007 #1 or #2
Thread: Red Gudebrod G
Tail: White or beige craft fur, marked with black sharpie pen
Body: #20 lb hard mason mono, red thread base

Tying instructions:


  1. Cut a small piece of mono so loop is lady thumbnail size

  2. Tie in mono in middle where your tail ends figure 8 style

  3. Tie in smashed ends at hook eye, slightly tear drop shaped

  4. Mix gold pulver (fine dust artist frame paint, sold in American craft stores, could substitute fine glitter)into epoxy and cover inside of mono body, turn until dry
