Thread: Flymaster, 6/0, tan (BCS94)
Weight: Lead free wire, .014”, 5 turns
Tail: Lemon wood duck flank fibers
Rib: Fine gold wire
Back, wing case and legs: Ringneck pheasant tail fibers, rusty red, 7 or 8 fibers
Abdomen and thorax: Scintilla, pale olive brown, #30
Tying instructions: Tie in tail, gold wire and tip of pheasant tail fibers at bend of hook. Dubbing wrap from bend to just past ½ way of shank. Bring pheasant tail to mid area and tie down. Reverse wrap gold wire through abdomen and tie down at midpoint. Dub in the thorax area to just behind eye, then bring the pheasant fibers over top of thorax and tie down, now bring 3 fibers under to each side to make legs. Tie off.
