Hook: TMC 100, #20
Thread: Gordon Griffith, 14/0, tan
Rear hackle: Cock hackle, coachman brown
Body: fur or ply dubbing, ruddy brown
Front hackle: Cock hackle, coachman brown
Wonder wing: Use large cock hackle with web, black
Tying instructions: To make wonder wing for this fly, take the barbs about ¾” down from tip and stroke the barbs to reverse direction of barbs and put drop of vinyl cement on under side of barbs, hold reversed barbs under tying light until cement starts to set. After tying in rear hackle, dubbed body and front hackle, trim V in both hackles. Tie wonder wing flat on top a little longer than bend (1/16” to 1/8”) clip the tip and butt off. Whip finish.
