Weight: Lead or similar wire, (for 12 hook, .020”, 7 turns)

Note: Reinforce the raffia by flattening, brushing with head cement, then fold over then fold a 2nd time. Should be about 3/16” to ¼” wide when folded. To make the stone fly wing, tie in about slightly more than half the length of shank of hook. Dub about 1/8” of dubbing and fold wing case forward toward eye tying down then fold back and tie down. Make a dubbing loop of orange-ish sepia and wrap to the eye now fold wing case forward and tie down behind the eye. Leave a little wing case over eye for the head. If done right you should have a double wing case of a stone fly. Pull a few fibers from dubbing loop for legs in the thorax area.
