Note: This simple little fly was developed at Rutland at the start of June 2002. The fish were becoming very wary of flies after a very successful catch and release season. Larger buzzers would get follows but no takes.
In the Police national match, we fished three of these with a big booby on the point. Takes were super gentle, often the line just tightened. The flies were almost always swallowed. We did not win, but we were only one fish short. The team what won fished similar flies.
Since then they have scored on all major reservoirs in the UK, especially Bewl and Chew.
