Mr. Wiggly Nymph

Fly: Charles "Chip" Drozenski, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: TIEMCO 101 #12-20 (or favorite nymph hook)
Thread: 8/0 Brown
Tail: Fine rubber
Rib: Copper wire
Abdomen: Twisted pheasant tail
Wingcase: Kreinik metallic flat ribbon (can use black foam for floating nymph)
Thorax: Brown Gen 'X' (Rub-A-Dub)

Tying Instructions:
  1. Tie thread to bend of hook.

  2. Tie in 2 rubber fibers to form split tail.

  3. Tie in copper ribbing.

  4. Twist pheasant tail to form dubbing rope for body.

  5. Rib with copper wire.

  6. Tie in metallic flat ribbon for wing case.

  7. Form dubbing loop and fill with Rub-A-Dub and twist.

  8. Form thorax with dubbing loop and pick out wigglies and trim.

  9. Bring flat ribbon forward to form wing case and tie off, cut, whip finish.
